Feb. 17 2011
Yesterday was interesting, I basically just wrote down Literature terms, poetry terms, and essay types. Then I had to write down the definitions for each of the words so I could put them on a poster for next week. That basically sums up my day yesterday. :)

1. I was not here yesterday
2. At our high school a new tardy policy has been established, unfortunately. The new policy is that no matter what class it is, that if your tardy you'll be put into ISS(In School Suspension) for the rest of the day. Now, I could go on and complain, but I'm not going to.
There's two ways to look at this, the first way is that this is a great way to force the students to be on time thus having the students there on time. Having them on time will reduce time spent on dealing with them and more on the actual teaching. Another positive thing is that, now they wont miss out on any part of the class.
On the flip side, there are negative things. For one, there may be students who have never been tardy but then receive one and get ISS thus tarnishing their records for all colleges/universities to see. As well as preventing them from having exemptions for the finals, when they had earned it through grades, losing it because of a single tardy slip. Another drawback is that on the school records there will be a showing of a lot of students in ISS, giving the school an appearance of a delinquent school.

Februrary 4, 2011- Mr. McConns procedures
In Mr. McConns class he has few procedures that are obvious.
First, when they enter the room theyre supposed to go sit their stuff down then procede to either get their reading book, or get a book from the bookshelves.
Second, theyre supposed to read for about 30 minutes
Third, they copy whatevers written on the board while classwork is passed out.
After that Im not to sure what else is procedures.
We just worked on SAT vocab, roots, verbs and what nots.
